2nd ‘Culinary Canvas’ will benefit Friendship Gardens

March 29, 2016 6:09 PM

Chef Paul Verica of Heritage and artist Rosalia Torres-Weiner will work together on the second “Culinary Canvas” dinner, May 5 at C3 Lab. The series aims at bringing local food folks and visual arts folks – both artists and their communities – together, and raise some funds. In this case, there’s a theme, “The Hands That Feed Us,” and a beneficiary, Friendship Gardens.

Expect five courses, with cocktails, plus live art in a “gallery atmosphere” at the space, which is at 2525 Distribution St. Friendship Gardens is a network of gardens both public and private, based in communities, schools, faith institutions, backyards and more, aimed to help people who don’t have broad access to healthy foods, and to grow support for the urban gardening community.

Tickets are $80, here; Facebook page here.
