DON'T MISS: "Madam Secretary" – The Season 4 premiere confronts the "fake news" issue head-on with a story line in which the assistant vice minister of Timor-Leste suddenly dies during a meeting with Elizabeth on the first day of the U.N General Assembly. Elizabeth becomes suspicious after the president of Timor-Leste ships the body back without a proper investigation, and then she comes under fire when a crackpot website posts a story claiming that she is responsible for the minister's death. 10 p.m. Sunday, CBS.
SUNDAY: "Bobbi Kristina" is a TV film about Whitney Houston's late daughter that starts just after the singer's death in 2012 and recalls the impact that the media scrutiny had on the troubled teen. Newcomer Joy Rovaris stars in the title role. 7 p.m., TV One.
MONDAY: On the season premiere of "Supergirl," Kara deals with the loss of Mon-El by focusing all her energy on being Supergirl and the mysterious new threat against National City. 8 p.m., The CW.
MONDAY: "Valor" is a new drama series that focuses on an elite unit of U.S. Army helicopter pilots called the Shadow Raiders in the wake of a top-secret mission to Somalia that went terribly awry. Christina Ochoa and Matt Barr head the cast. 9 p.m., The CW.
TUESDAY: Season 4 of "The Flash" begins with a powerful armored villain threatening to level Central City if the Flash doesn't appear. That prompts Cisco to make a risky decision to break Barry out of the speed force. But the Barry that comes out isn't the same Barry that went in. 8 p.m., The CW.
WEDNESDAY: As Season 2 of "Riverdale" gets under way, Fred's life hangs in the balance after the shooting at Pop's Diner, leaving Archie to wonder if he could have done more to help his father. 8 p.m., The CW.
WEDNESDAY: At a time when global events appear to be driving people apart, "The Story of Us With Morgan Freeman" attempts to remind viewers of the connections we share. It's a documentary series that explores how various societies deal with love, power, rebellion, conflict and freedom. 9 p.m., National Geographic Channel.
WEDNESDAY: The Season 3 premiere of the dystopian drama series "Mr. Robot" picks up immediately after the events of last season's finale with Elliot waking up after being shot by Tyrell. He soon realizes that his mission needs Angela's help. 10 p.m., USA.
THURSDAY: Season 13 of "Supernatural" begins right where we left off, with Sam and Dean left to pick up the pieces after the loss of their mother, the demise of Crowley and the heartbreaking death of Castiel. It airs just before the season premiere of "Arrow." 8 p.m., The CW.
FRIDAY: In the Season 3 premiere of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," poor Rebecca is plotting her revenge after being left at the altar by Josh. But that might be difficult to accomplish now that he has run off to train to be a priest. 8 p.m., The CW.
SATURDAY: Funny guy Kumail Nanjiani ("Silicon Valley") is our host for "Saturday Night Live," which actually does air live across the country tonight. The musical guest is Pink, who has a new album to promote. 8:29 p.m. PT, NBC (11:29 p.m. ET).
