What are you doing Thursday night, Italian cheese fans?

July 18, 2017 10:05 AM

One of the best parts of being a food fan is getting up close and personal with your food.

Sports fans don’t get to actually go out on the field and run the ball, do they? But if you’re a food fan, you actually can take up a knife or go into a field.

So on Thursday night, Zia Pia Imports will bring together experts on the cheeses of the Campania region of Italy: That would be mozzarella di bufala, burrata and stracciatella. And while you learn (and eat), you can hear about traveling in Campania from representatives of the travel company Nada’s Italy.

It’s 5-7 p.m. at the 7th Street Market, and it’s free to attend, although if you pay $25, you get to eat three courses, including antipasto, pasta and dessert. Reservations: Email victoria@ziapia.com or go to the event page on Facebook.
