This gorgeous weather outside doesn’t just mean spring is here and summer is around the corner….it also means it’s strawberry picking time! A trip to pick berries is a great activity to do with the kids not only for fun, but it also connects you to where your food comes from and supports locals farmers. Plus it’s delicious - strawberries picked right off the vine are much tastier than store-bought.

Keep these tips in mind before you head out to one of the 6 local farms:

  • Some farms ask that you bring your own box or bag to collect berries in
  • Suncscreen is a must as there is no shade out in the field
  • Take along some wipes - it can get messy out there!
  • Before you go check the farm’s Facebook Page - that’s the best way to find out daily hours and what’s available
